Jewellery often includes floral motifs, as part of their "Language of Flowers", whereby each flower or plant represented some romantic or emotional sentiment... In this case, forget-me-not flowers. According to Kate Greenaway's Language of Flowers book, this means "True love, forget me not". This piece, a lovely 14k gold charm of openwork design, with forget-me-not flowers in blue, yellow and green enamel. With the matching sentiment written across the top in blue enamel. Dates from the 1930's.
